Synopsis
Layla Hale, a fallen heiress, scrapes by working at a small‑town bakery with her twin sons, who can shift into wolf cubs. She endures harassment from her lecherous boss and constant hunger, until her best friend signs her up for the Voss Group Jewelry Competition. She returns to New York and wins the championship through her own talent.
Yet barely after lifting the trophy, she is framed by her malicious adopted sister Maggie, who had wronged her in the past. Layla is forced down onto a chair at City Hall and made to take Maggie’s place in marrying the notorious CEO of Voss Group — a man rumored to be hideously ugly, brutal and perverse.
When the door swings open, however, the man who steps forward is none other than the one who marked her five years ago — the biological father of her two wolf‑cub sons. What she does not know is that the man she has spent five years running from has spent those same five years searching for her.
— Fled with my kids for five years, only for my toxic sister to force‑marry me to the Wolf King CEO — who happens to be my boys’ real father.
